Cisco Nexus 2000 Fabric Extender Architectures, Features, and Topologies
This session presents the use cases, features, and both in-depth internal design and external topologies for the Nexus 2000 fabric extenders. We will go over the differences in the various models and also discuss in detail the new next generation fabric extender. In-depth information includes buffering, queuing, and packet walks. An overview of the feature differences and topologies due to different parent switches will be covered along with basics around troubleshooting and software upgrades. An understanding of switching technologies and operations of the Nexus fabric extender with Nexus 7000, Nexus 6000, or Nexus 5000 product lines is helpful. Basic knowledge of routing protocols as well as traditional switching design is also recommended.
