Understanding RF Fundamentals and the Radio Design of Wireless Networks
This session focuses on understanding the often overlooked Radio Frequency part of designing and deploying a Wireless LAN Network. It discusses 802.11 radio, MIMO, APs and antennas placements and antenna patterns. The session will also take an in-depth look at interference, both co-channel and non-WiFi and how you can deal with it. It covers the most often used environments such as carpeted offices, campuses and conference centres, and it provides feedback based on lessons learned from challenging deployments such as outdoor/stadium/rail deployments and manufacturing areas.
